A new South West talent competition sees the chance for local entertainers to win sought-after London and nationwide contracts and a large cash prize.

Hollywood has The Oscars, and now the South West has The Trevors! Wednesday 16th of March saw the launch of an exciting new awards for the South West by Trevor George Entertainments Ltd, in conjunction with Beverley Holidays. The Trevors, more formally known as the South West Entertainment Awards, is offering talented entrants the chance to win prizes including £1000 in cash and lucrative contracts with Trevor George Entertainments Ltd and Sternberg Clarke Ltd, London’s premier entertainment agency.

The launch was held at Beverley Parks in Paignton, Devon where members of the entertainment industry mixed with established local artists and enjoyed performances from the Beverley Park Show Team. “The Trevors is rapidly gaining momentum and evolving,” said Anne George, Director of Trevor George Ltd, and one of the judging panel of industry professionals. “We’re delighted to be able to offer established artists and new talent a platform, whilst also giving them the opportunity to gain prestigious awards in their unique fields.”

• Best Instrumental/Vocalist
• Best Comedy Act

Entries have now closed, and the awards ceremony will take place at Beverly Parks, Paignton on November 15th 2016. Thank you for all your entries!

I am writing to you on behalf of Children’s Week (Torbay) to thank you for the absolutely fantastic support of the 2015 event. Without the generosity of people such as yourselves, and generous donations, this local event would be unable to run.

You provided a brilliant entertainment programme, resulting in a most successful and amazing event helping our local community joining in the fun on the green despite really poor weather conditions!

Due to your support and engagement Children’s Week provided great free time out for local families and visitors to the Bay, and it was a great opportunity to show the community that local companies do care and can support fantastic events such as Children’s Week.

2015 was our first year running as our own entity without Torbay Council support and we are proud to say it was one of our most successful weeks, despite very wet weather conditions. It’s our 70th Birthday next year and we will be having a BIG Birthday Bash, so we hope that your company will join us again in 2016.

Once again our sincere gratitude for helping make Children’s Week a success.
