Tenor Most Wanted

One of the most sought-after new talents in the world of opera, rising classical star Nick Allen delivers his thrilling showcase of truly great tenor arias.

Originally from Lowestoft, England, Nick Allen has been wowing audiences with his effortlessly stunning tenor voice since his schooldays. After winning a scholarship to the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Nick was mentored by some of the industry’s most reputable leaders, including affiliates of both the Royal Opera House, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. During his studies, he was offered the role of Peter Grint in Benjamin Britten’s The Turn Of The Screw as part of the Banff Summer Arts Festival in Canada.

Since graduating in 2011, he has already established a diverse career as a soloist in opera and oratorio, as well as TV guest appearances singing on The Matt Lucas Show (BBC1), and Harry Hill’s TV Burp. Opera roles include Tobias in Jonathan Dove’s opera, Tobias and the Angel at Union Chapel, Islington, and – in the summer of 2014 – he made his critically-acclaimed debut as Frederic (Pirates Of Penzance), and Nanki-Poo (The Mikado) with the official Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company on their UK tour.
