Ian Marchant

Ian Marchant has been juggling and performing since the ripe old age of 16, having seen 2 jugglers on the Paul Daniels Magic show this was the inspiration to learn how to juggle and become a performer. Starting out in the local nightclubs of his home town of Bedford he then progressed to the more prestigious clubs of London and beyond (all this before his 18th birthday!!!)

At the age of 18 he moved to London to study at The Circus Space where he honed his skills in juggling technique and performance under the guidance of 2 of the worlds best jugglers Sean Gandini and Rod Laver. Since finishing his studies Ian has travelled all over the world bringing his unique blend of vaudeville juggling skill, comedy and audience participation to thousands of people performing in venues of all types from grand theatres to people’s living rooms, the streets of many cities to the high seas aboard cruise ships.

Highlights have included:

• Working with the internationally acclaimed juggling company Gandini Juggling
• Fulfilling a childhood dream of being on Blue Peter
• Being invited to perform in front of my peers at not only the British Juggling Convention (2005 and 2012) but also the European Juggling convention (2004)
• Performing solo alongside my old tutors in many galas and variety shows
• Performing in living rooms at the Volkamer Fest in South Africa.
• Being invited to perform at the National Theatre, London three years in a row as part of the Watch This Space festival of outdoor performance
• Performing for the Queen in her back garden at Buckingham Palace for one of her garden parties
• Performing for Prince Harry and Prince William
• Performing aboard Cruise ships for RCCL, Princess Cruises, Azumura Cruises, and Saga Cruises
